This washing liquid is suitable for cotton, linen and other natural fabrics.

Recipe for 1 litre. Adjust the recipe quantities according to the size of your family.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 litre water
  • 25g grated Marseille soap
  • 30g baking soda
  • 2 to 3 drops of essential oil of your choice (optional)

THE STEPS

1) Heat the water in a saucepan until hot, but not boiling.

2) Add the grated Marseille soap to the hot water and stir until completely dissolved.

3) Add the baking soda to the pan and stir well to dissolve it too.

4) Optional: add a few drops of the essential oil of your choice for fragrance. Make sure you choose an essential oil that is suitable for washing and not irritating to the skin.

5) Leave the mixture to cool for about an hour, then transfer it to an airtight bottle or storage container.

6) Transfer it to a glass jar or your old washing powder can.

HOW TO USE IT

Before each use, shake the bottle well to mix the ingredients. Make sure it's locked!

Use around 60 to 120 ml of washing liquid per machine, depending on the size of your laundry and how dirty your clothes are.

Baking soda can be powerful, so it's important to check that it's compatible with your fabrics.

The detergent keeps for 1 to 2 months.
Don't make too much of it at a time to avoid your detergent turning sour.
